After winning his record fourth National Inland Enterprise Championship (NIEC) title, he has proved to everyone that he is indeed the greatest sailor at NIEC in the last 20 – 30 years. May be ever.
“Predicting the wind pattern and shifts gave us an edge to consistently finish at the top in all races”, said Jain.
This is Sandip’s second National title this year. He had won the National Match Racing title early this year.

“The match racing experience I gained over the past few years helped me play the tactics on the course in Pune”, said Sandip, trimmer and tactician on the newly crowned Asia’s No.1 ranked Match Racing team.
Reigning Seabird National Champions, Manish Kapileshwar and Nilay Patil of Bombay Sailing Association bagged the silver medal. The duo have been in terrific form, winning medals in almost all the events they sailed this season.
Prasad Shelar and Varun Raj of IWSA won bronze for the third consecutive year at NIEC. Despite of posting the highest number of wins in the event, they had to settle for third place overall due to three bad races.
